Pubs visited or written about by James Joyce abound in the area. O’Neill’s of Suffolk Street is featured in portrait of the artist as a young man. Stag’s Head off Wicklow Street- Joyce drank here. Davy Byrne’s on Duke Street is mentioned in Ulysses. Duke- Joyce drank here. The Bailey on Anne Street with the Joy Nearys- Statue of Yeats inside. On Harry Street you will find Bruxelles which is a well know bar steeped in Rock history. Every street off of Grafton has its own unique piece of Irish history.
