Lamine Yamal has been ruled out of Barcelona's LaLiga game against Real Sociedad on Sunday with a "severe contusion" in his ankle the club said. The 17-year-old picked up the problem in the 5-2 Champions League win over Red Star Belgrade in midweek.

Barcelona couldn't overcome the absence of injured Lamine Yamal and saw its seven-game winning run come to an end with a 1-0 loss at Real Sociedad in the Spanish league.

This was Barcelona’s second La Liga defeat of the season, leaving the Catalan giants six points clear of second-placed Real Madrid, having played an extra match.
