Batman will relaunch with a brand-new #1 with the new creative team of Matt Fraction and Jorge Jiménez, along with a new Batman costume

A Batman #1 doesn’t come along very often. Well, unless you’ve been reading comics for the past 15 years, in which case, it’s come along a couple times already. Modern comic books! But even then, in what is about to be eight-and-a-half-decades of Batman that’s still not a lot of relaunches–and DC is going all-in to make this fourth one stand out.

Absolute Batman kicked off DC’s Absolute Universe titles and has been going strong ever since. The Absolute Universe is an entirely new DC continuity, one created by the villainous Darkseid in DC All-In #1 for a mysterious purpose.

DC Comics stunned attendees at the ComicsPRO convention with a surprise announcement. The state of the Batman monthly series following Hush 2 has been a total mystery. However, DC has now revealed that the series will relaunch with a new #1 issue.

At ComicsPro DC pulled the curtain back on the next era of Batman, and it will be a truly talented creative team leading the charge. DC has revealed the first look at Batman #1, which will begin in September and will be helmed by writer Matt Fraction,
