Elon Musk’s feud with President Donald Trump has reignited, with the tech billionaire threatening to launch a new political party and Trump suggesting Musk could be punished for his opposition.

"The libertarian delusion is that there is a large political constituency for their ideology," Stephen Miller, White House deputy chief of staff for policy and homeland security advisor, posted to X, formerly Twitter, responding to Musk's call for a new party.

Trump suggested that he would be prepared to undo the government subsidies Musk’s companies benefit from, hinting at using the so-called Department of Government Efficiency — previously led by Musk to realize Trump’s goal of overhauling the federal government — against him.
