At least 104 people are confirmed dead following catastrophic flash flooding that tore through Central Texas last week, with dozens more still missing — a toll that continues to rise as communities grieve and remember those who were lost.

The death toll in the central Texas floods has risen to over 100. Officials say the majority of the deaths were in Kerr County. Search and recovery crews there are working through masses of downed trees and other debris.

Six counties reported deaths from multiple severe flood events since Friday, July 4. Also, Kerrville officials reported that a privately owned drone collided with a helicopter conducting search and rescue operations.
