Sunday's London Marathon set a world record for the number of finishers, eclipsing the previous mark of 55,646 in New York last year, organisers said.

A woman who completed the London Marathon while dressed as a fish is celebrating setting a new world record. Sarah Haddock, 42, from Hoo in Kent, completed Sunday's race dressed as a swordfish in under eight hours.
