Two summers after their trade pursuit of Damian Lillard fell on the deaf ears of the Portland Trail Blazers, the Miami Heat yet again could be in play for the All-Star guard.

On Tuesday, ESPN's Shams Charania reported that the Milwaukee Bucks are waiving Lillard, buying out the rest of the $113 million that the star was owed. Shortly after, it would be noted that Miami is “expected to have interest” in the 34-year-old, according to Tim Reynolds of The Associated Press.

The Miami Heat were linked to a Damian Lillard pursuit many times in the past. Now they might actually have a chance to land him.
