The team released defensive back Ryan Watts with a career-ending neck injury and also released defensive tackle Montravius Adams. The Steelers also signed veteran wide receiver Robert Woods to a one-year contract.

NFL Network's Ian Rapoport reported Monday that Pittsburgh agreed to a one-year, $2 million deal with wide receiver Robert Woods. Woods appeared in 15 games for the Houston Texans last season. There was a time when adding Woods would have been a major move.
