Former India cricketer Dinesh Karthik has hailed Sanju Samson saying that the wicketkeeper batter has sealed his spot as an opener in T20Is. Notably, Samson recently smashed his second consecutive century in the format during the first T20I against South Africa in Durban and became the first Indian to achieve the feat.

Sanju Samson continued his dream run in T20I cricket, smashing his second consecutive century in the first match of the series against South Africa at Kingsmead, in Durban on Friday night.

Sanju Samson is in blazing form. The right-handed opener was awarded the Player of the Match (POTM) for his magnificent knock of 107 off just 50 balls in the series opener at Kingsmead in Durban.

Samson was unable to replicate his success in the second T20I against South Africa and was dismissed for a duck after facing just three balls.
