A federal agent shot and killed a man from Mexico during a traffic stop in Houston on Tuesday morning, the acting director of Immigration and Customs Enforcement said in a statement.

Charges have been filed against a man who was shot at by multiple Houston police officers and struck by a bullet during a standoff on Monday, according to the police department.

"We need to know why Lorenzo was targeted," Garcia said.
