Some roads will be closed Friday in D.C. as thousands of demonstrators are expected to rally against abortion rights for the annual March for Life.
WASHINGTON ( DC News Now) — One person was medevaced after a multi-vehicle crash in Southeast D.C. on Thursday. DC Fire and EMS said the crash happened along Interstate 295, just south of Firth Sterling Avenue. Three cars and a motorcycle were involved. A U.S. Park Police helicopter flew the motorcyclist to the hospital for treatment.
The arctic cold will set the stage for the winter storm and last for at least the next week. We are talking about 7 + days where temperatures will not climb above freezing. Generally, low temperatures will be in the single digits and teens and high temperatures will be in the teens and 20s.

Cracked rail disrupts Metro riders again as bitter cold settles in DC
The morning commute for Metro riders was disrupted again on Wednesday after a rail cracked at the Grosvenor station along the Red Line.
DC Water crews are working to contain an untreated sewage spill that has shut down part of the Clara Barton Parkway and is causing significant delays for morning commuters.
