The Champions League entered a new phase in 2024 with a new structure and more teams. As the League Phase draws to a close, 24 teams will progress into the next round of the tournament. Eight teams qualify straight into the round of 16, whilst the other 16 who make it past the league phase will take part in a play-off to advance.

Defending champion Barcelona was paired with Wolfsburg in the draw Friday for the quarterfinals of the Women’s Champions League, and record eight-time winner Lyon will play Bayern Munich. Friday morning, UEFA conducted the draw for the Champion League's new playoff phase, which essentially adds one more round to the previous format's knockout stage. 16 teams were sorted, with pairings influenced (but not entirely determined) by order of finish in the group stage.
