When the sun goes down on Independence Day, the skies of Washington, D.C., are expected to fill with a record-setting 850,000 individual fireworks for a 40-minute spectacle like no one has seen before.

According to Puget Sound Fire and Rescue, three people were critically injured in a “fireworks-related incident” Sunday afternoon.

Tonight's Fireworks display in Brewster has been postponed. The event has been rescheduled for Sunday July 12th.
