Flight tracking website FlightAware showed 78 flights to and from Sky Harbor were delayed and 55 flights were canceled as of 3:35 p.m. on Nov. 11. Throughout the government shutdown, airports nationwide have experienced air traffic controller shortages.

The FAA told airlines to increase cancellations at 40 of the country's busiest airports to 6% by Tuesday and ultimately ramp up to 10% by Friday.
