Seven home games and high-profile SEC trips highlight a 2026 season that ends with Texas returning to Kyle Field.

The Aggies should be a tough test in Miami’s first-round playoff game on Dec. 20. But Texas A&M, which ended the regular season 11-1, does have some weaknesses.

The No. 10 Miami Hurricanes and the No. 7 Texas A&M Aggies are set for a high-stakes clash in the first round of the College Football Playoff Saturday, December 20, 2025, at Kyle Field in College Station, TX. Both programs are making their first-ever CFP appearances.

The Miami Hurricanes have made the College Football Playoff and will head to College Station to face the Texas A&M Aggies. The Aggies finished the 2025 season 11-1 ( 7-1 in the SEC) with wins over Notre Dame, Florida, Missouri and LSU. The Aggies were left out of the SEC Championship Game after a rivalry weekend loss to the Texas Longhorns.

On Wednesday, ESPN’s College GameDay announced it would make the trip to College Station, Texas for the Aggies’ first-round College Football Playoff game against the Miami Hurricanes at Kyle Field. Texas A&M fans’ hearts dropped.

Texas A&M football had several players honored in the all-conference awards announced Tuesday. More honors will be publicized in the coming days.
