Last week, Aspyr and Crystal Dynamics rather randomly released the 2013 Tomb Raider reboot on Nintendo Switch & Switch 2, and the results of this port are pretty interesting compared to the existing Xbox and PlayStation versions.
Tomb Raider: Definitive Edition was the first game I bought for my brand new PlayStation 4. Squeezed into our freshman dorm, my bestie and I logged dozens of hours replaying Lara’s quest to free herself and her companions from a crazed cult of sun worshipers.
Earlier this week, Aspyr surprised us all by shadow dropping Tomb Raider: Definitive Edition on the Switch and Switch 2 eShop. The 2013 adventure game from Crystal Dynamics is back with a bang, and we've been checking it out so you can see what's in store on Nintendo consoles.
The screens appear to be trailer grabs, and show a freshly-revarnished Lara sporting her legendary blue top and twin pistols. There is minimal evidence so far of the screechy Croft mutilation we saw in the more recent borderline horror survivalism-themed games.
A Tomb Raider remake joins the rumours for this year's The Game Awards, as fans continue to speculate over a bizarre statue tease.
