R etired NFL star Dez Bryant is in hot water for his controversial take on Cassie Ventura following her ex-boyfriend Sean “Diddy” Combs’ federal trial.

Two of Mr. Combs’s former girlfriends gave days of harrowing testimony of abuse, but jurors weren’t convinced those experiences with escorts were sex trafficking.

Citing the federal sentencing guidelines, prosecutors in the trial argued Combs should be sentenced to 51 to 63 months in prison -- around four to five years. Defense attorneys argued the guidelines point toward a sentence of 21 to 27 months -- around two years.
