U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement arrested an alleged Tren de Aragua gang member in Colorado Springs on Wednesday, according to a post on X. According to law enforcement, Pedro Rafael Cartaya-Rojas, 30, is a Venezuelan national who allegedly entered the country illegally on Nov. 20, 2023.

According to investigative journalists and a handful of academic studies, Tren de Aragua was initially founded by Hector “El Niño” Guerrero and two other men in 2014. The three men were imprisoned in Tocorón prison in the state of Aragua.

U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) Denver arrested an alleged Tren de Aragua (TdA) gang member with the assistance of the El Paso County Sheriff’s Office (EPSO). On Wednesday, March 5, ICE arrested 30-year-old Pedro Rafael Cartaya-Rojas in Colorado Springs.

An undocumented immigrant of the Tren de Aragua gang was arrested in Orlando. According to Homeland Security in Tampa, this arrest was made possible through a collaborative effort involving multiple agencies.
