With the Steelers still failing to select a quarterback on Day 3 of the NFL Draft this past weekend, Ohio State signal caller Will Howard was urging the franchise to pick him in the sixth round. "Please pick me, Pittsburgh," Howard said in front of cameras.

Will Howard, the quarterback out of Ohio State, was the pick for the Steelers. He is fresh off of leading the Buckeyes to a national championship win last year, and his draft stock took a huge rise from where it had been at the start of the 2024 college football season.

Howard led the Ohio State Buckeyes to the College Football Playoff National Championship just a few months ago. He was named the Offensive MVP of the title game after completing 17 of 21 pass attempts and throwing for 231 yards and two touchdowns versus Notre Dame.
