Rush will forever be my favorite band of all time & it makes me so happy that, as a fan of Rush, they gave my hometown of El Paso, Texas & our neighbors in las Cruces, New Mexico a number of appearances & fantastic shows.

Metallica would play Las Cruces twice in the 90s; August 27, 1992 at the Aggie Memorial Stadium at NMSU & at the Pan American Center on January 6, 1997. There's actual footage of the 1992 show that was uploaded on Metallica's official YouTube (even audio of Nothing Else Matters was released too on the album's 30th anniversary release).
