THURSDAY, Feb. 27, 2025 (HealthDay News) -- With egg prices soaring due to a severe bird flu outbreak, the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) announced a $1 billion plan to contain the disease and help poultry farmers recover.
In an exclusive interview with U.S. Secretary of Agriculture Brooke Rollins Thursday morning, Farm Journal asked when exactly those payments will be released. Rollins confirmed to Farm Journal those payments will be released before the current deadline of March 21.
