Marco Rossi scored at 3:35 of overtime Saturday and the Minnesota Wild defeated the Detroit Red Wings 4-3 at Little Caesars Arena in the first game following a two-week 4 Nations Face-Off break. The Red Wings squandered a 3-1 lead in the final seven minutes of regulation but had an excellent chance to win in overtime when Rossi was penalized for tripping.

Talbot has made two starts since the Red Wings resumed play, and he's gone 1-0-1 with a 2.91 GAA and .905 save percentage. He's coming off a win over the Wild on Tuesday but will likely have his hands full against the Blue Jackets,

Talbot's first period looked like a continuation of his overtime loss to the Wild on Saturday, as he allowed two goals in the opening frame. He was able to settle in from there, and the Red Wings supported him by earning a comeback win.

Talbot will be in the road blue paint Tuesday versus the Wild, Helene St. James of the Detroit Free Press reports. Talbot will have a chance to avenge Saturday's loss to Minnesota, in which he allowed four goals on 39 shots.

Talbot stopped 35 of 39 shots in a 4-3 overtime loss to Minnesota on Saturday. Talbot was under siege in the third period when the Wild outshot Detroit by a 17-5 margin. Minnesota scored twice in the third,

Simon Edvinsson pinged a slap shot off the far post for his second goal of the game with 8:25 remaining to finish a rally by the Detroit Red Wings for a 3-2 victory over the Minnesota Wild. Cam Talbot made 22 saves for the Red Wings.
