Despite not having a head coach in place yet following the firing of Tom Thibodeau, the New York Knicks are preparing for a pivotal NBA free agency period.

New York, along with the Denver Nuggets and Sacramento Kings, is "said to be" among the possible destinations for Westbrook, according to NBA insiders Marc Stein and Jake Fischer The Knicks, Minnesota Timberwolves and New Orleans Pelicans are also "in the market for veteran guards," per Stein and Fischer.
