"Pink Pony Club" singer Chappell Roan made a plea to labels to pursue protections for musical artists, and Universal Music Group is looking to help.

The “Espresso” singer donated $25,000 to the campaign. During Roan’s speech at the Grammys, Carpenter had tears in her eyes as Roan plead for better healthcare for her musical colleagues. Lauv matched a similar donation of $25,000, adding: “Artists need healthcare and this is an amazing start to the convo!”

The "We Got You! Campaign," a collaboration between Roan and Backline, a nonprofit organization that prioritizes mental health in the music industry, raised nearly $250,000 in the first 48 hours of its launch.
