Major League Soccer's Toronto FC cut its two-highest paid players, announcing mutual agreements to terminate the contracts of wingers Lorenzo Insigne and Federico Bernardeschi.

Toronto FC have mutually agreed to terminate the contracts of former Italy internationals Lorenzo Insigne and Fernando Bernadeschi, the MLS club announced Tuesday.

Toronto FC is parting ways with designated player Federico Bernardeschi with the expectation that fellow Italian Lorenzo Insigne will follow him out the door.
