Heading into the Big 12 tournament, TCU had lost four of their last five regular season games. They stumbled to the No. 9 seed and came up short against the 16th seed Colorado Buffaloes 69-67. Many of TCU's losses can be attributed to extremely poor starts to both the first and second half.

Less than a month later, TCU went one-and-done in the Big 12 Tournament in Kansas City, falling 69-67 to No. 16 seed Colorado on Tuesday.

Barring a miracle run through the postseason, the Colorado men’s basketball team is destined for a 20-loss season. The Buffaloes, however, are hoping to delay that fate as long as possible.

The Buffs’ thorough 76-56 victory against TCU on Saturday, coupled with Utah’s loss on Saturday night at No. 23 BYU, set CU up with a rematch against the Horned Frogs in the first round of the Big 12 Tournament on Tuesday at T-Mobile Center in Kansas City, Mo. (1 p.m. MT, ESPN+).
