Ukraine's air force said Russia targeted several regions overnight with 267 drones, of which around 200 were Shahed attack drones and the rest decoys. The air force said it shot down or otherwise suppressed 244 drones. Twenty-three drones impacted across seven locations, with falling debris reported in nine locations, the air force said.

Russia appeared to brush aside President Donald Trump’s threat to impose tariffs against Moscow and its trading partners if its war with Ukraine does not end in 50 days, but there are signs of growing concern among some factions of the nation’s elite that an opportunity may have been missed.

Trump’s threats of secondary tariffs are “never going to go anywhere” as long as he is unwilling to impose costs on Moscow directly, Keir Giles, a senior fellow at the London-based Chatham House think tank, told NBC News Monday.
