Freshman Juna Diaz scored three times, and the Soquel High girls soccer team beat Cristo Rey 8-0 to won the 10th annual Fremont Firebird Classic title in Sunnyvale on Saturday.

Freshman Karina Fromm scored a game-high 15 points, and the Monte Vista Christian School girls basketball team slipped past visiting Soquel 37-35 in nonleague action Monday to earn its first win.
