Manchester United co-owner Sir Jim Ratcliffe has admitted it was a mistake not to sack Erik ten Hag in the summer. In an interview with Sky Sports, Ratcliffe praised the “excellent job” being done by current head coach Rúben Amorim.

A number of the squad have come in for criticism during a run of form which has left the side 14th in the Premier League.

Sir Jim Ratcliffe candidly ripped into the signings Man Utd made under the guidance of their former manager Erik ten Hag. The Dutchman spent two-plus years at Carrington, overseeing three different summer transfer campaigns before being shown the door last October following a poor start to the campaign.
