Writer and actress Sharon Horgan has a new show and a new deal with HBO. She’s signed a first-look agreement with the network, and will write, executive produce, and star in a comedy series about a divorced woman in her 50s struggling with aging parents, a son reaching adulthood, and dating.

EXCLUSIVE: Sharon Horgan’s followup to Bad Sisters will be for HBO. The WBD network has signed a two-year first-look TV deal with the BAFTA-winning and Emmy-nominated actor, writer and producer and her production company Merman.

The announcement comes hot on the heels of the acclaimed second season of Apple TV+ comedy-drama Bad Sisters, where Horgan co-starred opposite an electric ensemble including Anne-Marie Duff, Eva Birthistle and Fiona Shaw.
