After much anticipation, it seems iOS 18.4 beta 1 will finally be released today, as Apple readies the Apple Intelligence expansion.

The iOS and iPad OS 18.3 and macOS Sequoia 15.3 updates (both of which were updated with point releases) were released in late January, but Apple has yet to release the iOS 18.4/macOS 15.4 betas to developers weeks later. With an early April deadline, we expect betas to arrive next week to give testers ample time to dig through the new features.

OS 18.4 is expected to roll out in early April with expanded Apple Intelligence features, including language support and Priority Notifications.

One of the key features of Apple Intelligence has hit engineering problems and could be delayed by a month or more, the latest report says.

Based on the timeline for rolling this out, it seems likely that those settings changes will be coming in the iOS 18.4 beta. Yes, Apple is only required to do this in the EU, and other DMA-required features haven't all rolled out in the U.S. But this one seems like a feature that Apple will bring to all of its users.
