DES MOINES, Iowa — A special election to fill the Iowa Senate District 1 seat will be held next month, according to a Monday proclamation by Gov. Kim Reynolds. The election will be held Tuesday, Aug.

Iowa Gov. Kim Reynolds announced the special election to fill the seat left by Sen. Rocky De Witt, R-Lawton, who passed away in June, will take place Aug. 26.
