Country performer Josh Ross reached a personal Juno Awards milestone on Tuesday and he did it in good company with breakout pop singer Tate McRae.

Shawn Mendes and The Weeknd followed with four nods each for Canada’s versions of the Grammys, to be hosted this year by Michael Bublé.

TORONTO - Pop performer Tate McRae and country star Josh Ross are leading contenders at the 2025 Juno Awards. The Calgary-raised McRae and Burlington, Ont.-native Ross each have five nominations, including in the single and artist of the year categories, as well as for the viewer-voted fan choice award.

The 2025 Junos will also award the inaugural South Asian Music Recording of the Year Award, with nominees including AP Dhillon, Chani Nattan, Inderpal Moga & Jazzy B, Jonita Gandhi, Karan Aujla, and Yanchan Produced & Sandeep Narayan.
