Yes, as long as you are a peace officer that is permitted to carry a firearm as defined in section 2.10 of the criminal procedure law you are exempt from almost all of NYS's prohibitive laws as they pertain to firearms.

Statue of Liberty should be OK to carry as it is Fed controlled and they are, or at least were LEO friendly. Empire State Building has long been a no go except for NYPD as are other locations.

For all you military veterans with active duty time there is a proposed bill in both the NYS senate and assembly for a 10 year military buyback in the NYS Civil Service pension system. Currently you can only buyback 3 years. This bill if approved will bump the buyback up to ten years. See link https://www.nysenate
