We made the sweetest little Christmas ornaments and the kids were so proud of their creations. Here’s the salt dough recipe we use: 1 cup salt • 1 cup flour • ¾ cup water We collected evergreen sprigs and holly berries from our yard for our first try… but by the next day the holly berries had turned brown and mushy. 😅 So we tried again with colorful beads and sealed everything with Mod Podge — a little trial and error, but that’s part of the fun. Such a sweet memory for them to take with them.

Salt Dough Ornaments 📌 A simple, 3 ingredient recipe to make these special keepsakes. 1 Cup Salt 2 Cups Flour 1 1/4 Cup warm water This was the perfect way to capture tiny feet for baby’s first Christmas and it will definitely be a tradition year after year. I’m not sure who was more cooperative… The baby or the dog.. but we did it 😂 Save this reel with the recipe and be sure to share your ornaments with me if you try it! #saltdoughornaments #saltdough #holidaycraft #holidaydiy #merrylikemegs

Salt dough ornaments are a great kid-friendly, nontoxic holiday craft. To make them, mix All-Purpose Flour, Morton Table Salt, and a Cup of Water together, then knead until the dough is formed. Roll out on parchment paper until ¼ - ½ inch thick. Use cookie cutters to make shapes and a straw to make the holes to hang your ornament. Bake at 250 degrees for approximately two hours or until the ornament feels firm. Allow to cool, then decorate! Like, and save to give this a try! #MortonSalt #SaltDou
