Pasttime Cook on Instagram: "Homemade Cracker Jacks 6 qts. popped popcorn (about 1/2 cup unpopped) 1 tsp. salt ½ tsp. baking soda 2 sticks margarine 1 tsp. vanilla 2 c. brown sugar 1 bag of raw peanuts ½ c. Karo syrup Melt margarine, stir in brown sugar, salt, and syrup. Bring to a boil stirring constantly. Boil 5 minutes. Remove from heat and stir in baking soda and vanilla. Pour over popped corn and mix well. Bake at 250 degrees for 1 hour. Stir every 15 minutes. Pour onto waxed paper to cool.
