East Window, Carlisle Cathedral Although Carlisle Cathedral is one of the smallest cathedrals in Britain, only St.Asaph being smaller, it boasts the magnificent East Window. The East Window is in fact the largest and most complex of the Flowing Gothic Decorated Style in England. The East Window in York is larger but is done in a different style. The East Window was added in 1350, as part of the rebuild after the 1292 fire. Most of the window is from the original Medieval window attributed to Ivo
