Little Petunia, a state endangered tricolored bat came into care almost a month ago in desperate need of medical attention. She was starving and dehydrated due to a protozoan infection. Thankfully caring members of the public immediately contacted us. Petunia became a favorite among our staff. She recovered quickly and gained the essential weight necessary to start her descent into hibernation. Tricolored bats are facing a multitude of impacts, predominately due to the devastating effects of whi
