Conservative commentator Candace Owens shared screenshots of text messages between her and Charlie Kirk in which he praised Nicki Minaj and Jay‑Z for their verses on the Kanye West song ‘Monster.’ The exchange, dated March 30 2018, shows Kirk enthusiastically quoting Minaj’s “First things first, I eat your brains” line and referencing the monster-verse lyric: “Sasquatch, Godzilla, King Kong, Loch Ness …” Owens posted the texts on social media on October 23, 2025 and wrote, “2018 was such a ride.
