how to caramelize onions!! 🧅✨ 1. heat ½ tablespoon olive oil or butter in a pot over medium heat 2. add in thinly sliced onions, salt, and pepper, stirring to coat 3. cook the onions, checking and stirring every 5 minutes, until they have completely caramelized and turned golden brown. it should take about 45 minutes. tip: if the onions are getting too dark or sticking too much to the bottom of the pan, then simply reduce the heat a bit, or you can also add in a teaspoon or two of water. enjoy
