There are 15 portraits crammed into this 3x6 foot oil painting. I’m happy with two of them so far. I painted all of them initially, but wasn’t thrilled with the colors, so I glazed everything with raw umber and started over. It seems the more I learn, the more I expect, and the more I expect, the less straightforward finishing a painting becomes. | TJ Cunningham
