Enrichment is something mentally or physically stimulating for the animals that encourages a natural behavior. In the wild, dholes would have to forage and search for food. Keeper Brent planted some bamboo for them and attached meat to the top of it. The dholes had to figure out how to get the meat. This also encouraged cooperative feeding which, as pack animals, is another natural behavior for the dholes. | Bronx Zoo
