W.B. Yeats: Ireland’s Poetic IconBorn in Dublin in 1865, William Butler Yeats drew inspiration from Sligo’s landscapes and Irish folklore. His unrequited love for Maud Gonne fueled iconic poems like "When You Are Old." A leader of the Irish Literary Revival, he co-founded the Abbey Theatre and won the Nobel Prize in 1923.
